MBI investigating officer-involved shooting in Desoto County

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is investigating a case of an officer-involved shooting in Desoto, Mississippi.

On Thursday, the Mississippi Department of Public Safety sent out the following release:

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) is investigating an officer-involved shooting involving Desoto County Sheriff’s Department that occurred on Wednesday,August 17, 2022, near Mississippi Highway 302 and Goodman Road in Desoto, Mississippi.

MBI is currently assessing this critical incident and gathering evidence. Upon completing their investigation, agents will share their findings with the Attorney General’s Office.
