Warren County fire departments partner to present new program to the Medgar & Angela Scott Foundation
Two Warren County fire departments partnered to present the Medgar & Angela Scott Foundation with a new program, “Turn Your Attention To Fire Prevention”.
Jeff Riggs with the Warren County Fire Service reported that on Aug. 30, the Warren County Fire Service and Culkin Fire Department partnered and presented the program to the foundation.
“The Medgar and Angela Scott Foundation is dedicated to inspiring people to excel by providing tools and solutions that inform, educate and encourage them to make the best possible decisions in the areas of career, education, finance, health and human services. Our goal is to improve lives, uplift our community and value everyone with a spirt of love, truth, humility and service,” stated the Executive Director of the foundation, Carla Sullivan.
Chief Chuck Tate, Fire and Life Safety Instructor Lee Williams and Firefighter Jeff Riggs presented the program to adults from across the Vicksburg/Warren County area in a variety of fire prevention topics.
This is the second program that the firefighters have presented and plan to continue fire-related programs at the community center. Riggs stated these types of programs will start being held as the temperatures start to dip.
