Medical awareness event with panel discussion to take place Sunday at Vicksburg City Park Pavilion
A medical awareness event co-hosted by Jackson-Hinds Comprehensive Health Center and Turner Care LLC is scheduled to take place between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday at the Vicksburg City Park Pavilion.
“We’re hosting this event to really try and make sure that we raise awareness , help literacy and provide resources for breast cancer as well as COVID-19,” Said Internal Medicine Physician Justin Turner.
Various sponsors and vendors will be present and a panel discussion will be hosted for those seeking answers from medical experts and raise awareness. An OBGYN expert will also be on the panel for those who have concerns with the COVID-19 vaccine and pregnancy.
“We want everybody to come out because you’re going to get a chance to ask those questions,” stated Turner. “No question is a dumb question.”
The event will also host vaccines for those who wish to receive one. Moderna and Pfizer vaccines will be distributed. Booster shots and COVID testing will also be offered.
“It’s just going to be an awesome event providing so many different resources to the community,” said Turner.
