Meet the Candidates Forum to be held Oct. 27 in Warren County

The Warren County Courthouse Circuit Courtroom will play host to a Meet the Candidates Forum on Oct. 27 at 6 p.m.

The forum will give a chance for voters to hear the candidates, ask questions and be able to make a more informed decision before heading to the polls.

The event is sponsored by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Vicksburg Alumnae Chapter, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Vicksburg Branch and Blacks In Government First Mississippi Chapter.

The General Election will be held on Nov. 8.

Below are the guidelines to register to vote in the State of Mississippi:

• A resident of Mississippi and the county, city, or town for 30 days prior to the election;
• At least 18 years old at the date of the election;
• Not declared mentally incompetent by a court; and,
• Not convicted of a disenfranchising crime.
