Message in a bottle recovered by salvage crew, author being sought

Big River Shipbuilders salvage crew found a message in a bottle on Tuesday.

According to a social media post, the bottle was found by a salvage crew. The message inside the bottle was about 50% intact.

The contents of what was written cannot be determined, however it is believed it was written by an Oxford, MS student with the last name of Tahl. It is believed the message was written in 1989.

The crew is trying to locate Tahl to let them know the message was found and is asking the community to help spread the word.
