MHP honors fallen trooper John Harris in AAST Best Looking Cruiser photo contest

VICKSBURG, Miss. (Vicksburg Daily News) – The Mississippi Highway Patrol has entered the American Association of State Troopers (AAST) “Best Looking Cruiser” contest.

Voting for the contest began on Tuesday, July 20 and will run until August 3 at 12 p.m. (EST). The winner of the contest will be featured on the cover of the AAST 2021 wall calendar which will premier in January.

MHP submitted a photo of a Dodge Charger taken at Red Bluff Canyon in Marion County. The Charger was that of late trooper John Harris, Z-71, who was killed in the line of duty in a tragic accident on Highway 16 outside of Canton in Madison County.

This year’s submission was given in honor of Harris as a tribute to his memory and service to MHP.
