MHSAA ruled that varsity football games will begin at 7:30 p.m. through the end of September
The Mississippi High School Activities Association Executive Committee announced that varsity football games will begin at 7:30 p.m. through the end of September due to concerns over heat.
The announcement was made on Tuesday over social media.
The MHSAA Executive Committee has approved 7:30 p.m. start time for all varsity football games through the end of September. Move is in conjunction with heat timeouts to help players cope with the heat.

The ruling will only affect local teams, Warren Central and Vicksburg High School, who normally begin at 7 p.m.
