MHSAA votes to delay the high school football season
The Mississippi High School Activities Association Executive Committee has voted to delay fall sports by two weeks.
Football practices will start Aug. 17 and games will begin Sept. 4.
The COVID-19 pandemic and the steep increase in cases is the reason for the delay.
