The Vicksburg Police Department is requesting assistance from the community for information regarding Michael Moffett, who has been missing since October of last year.

On Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 4:40 p.m., a family member of Michael Moffett came to the police department to report him missing. According to his family, they had not seen or heard from him for more than a month at that time.

Moffett is a 50-year-old black male, 5-foot 6-inches tall. His last known place of residence was 3117 Washington St. in Vicksburg.

In December, Captain Mike Bryant told Vicksburg Daily News that Lt. Johnnie Edwards has checked Moffett’s known addresses as well as places he was known to frequent.  Police have received little information on the investigation, and few leads have turned out to be dead ends.

Anyone with information regarding Michael Moffett’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Vicksburg Police Department at 601-636-2511.
