Michel’s Music robber indicted

Jonathan Lamar Rodgers was indicted by a Warren County Grand Jury for the Feb. 19 armed robbery at Michel’s Music along with aggravated assault of owner Timmie Fedell and a person in the shop at that time, Michael Jensen. He was also indicted for the Burglary of Divine Donuts later that evening.

In a crime that rocked the downtown community, Rodgers robbed Michel’s Music on a sunny Saturday afternoon. According to the three-count indictment, he “…did willfully, unlawfully and feloniously take money the personal property of Timmie Fedell from the person of or from the presence of Timmie Fedell against her will by violence to her person by the sue of blunt object, a deadly weapon, or by putting her in fear of immediate injury by the exhibition of said deadly weapon in violation of Miss. Code.”

The Vicksburg Daily News reported live from the scene of that crime.

The Aggravated Assault charge states that Rodgers “…did purposely, knowingly and feloniously, attempt to cause bodily injury to Timmie Fedell with a blunt object, a deadly weapon or by other means likely to produce death or bodily injury by striking her multiple times to her head and face in violation of Miss. Code.”

Additionally, Rodger was charged with aggravated assault and that he “…did purposefully, knowingly and feloniously, attempt to cause bodily injury to Michael Jensen with a blunt object, a deadly weapon or by other means likely to produce death or bodily injury by striking him in the back of his head as well as his right jaw in violation of Miss. Code.”

A separate indictment for the burglary-non-residential of Divine Donuts later that evening was also approved by the Grand Jury.
