In a thrilling display of talent and beauty, the Vicksburg Convention Center became the epicenter of excitement on Wednesday as delegates graced the stage for the inaugural round of the highly anticipated 2023 Miss Mississippi preliminary competitions. The first round went to three rising stars, Neeley Robertson, representing the esteemed Miss Leaf River Valley, Anna-Katherine Thompson, proudly representing Miss Mississippi State University and Miss All America City, Krystle Hughes.

Robertson and Thompson wowed the crowd in the talent segment while Hughes secured the win in the wear phase of the competition.

Robertson showcased her remarkable vocal skills with an R&B rendition of the renowned song “Footprints in the Sand.” Thompson delivered a captivating performance of “The Impossible Dream” from the acclaimed musical “The Man of La Mancha.”

Hughes mesmerized the audience with her elegance in a stunning royal blue evening gown.
