On Tuesday afternoon, members of the Central Mississippi Strike Team from Warren County responded to aid in the search for a missing 40-year-old male. Sheriff Martin Pace said he has spoken with Rankin County Sheriff Bryan Bailey and offered any assistance or resources that his agency has available.

Shane Garrard, who leads the Strike Team’s effort on behalf of Warren County, responded Tuesday along with some county firefighters. Gerrard is once again in Rankin County along with personnel from numerous agencies in Central Mississippi.

The search is ongoing in a heavily wooded area in Western Rankin County between Florence and Richland.

At a noon press conference, officials asked for the public’s assistance in locating Weems. He was last seen at his residence around 10 a.m. Tuesday morning. He may have a golden retriever dog with him.
