Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians member pleads guilty to murder of fellow member

Vandel Jim, 53, and a member of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, recently plead guilty to the murder of a fellow tribal member, according to a report by WLBT.

Court documents show, Jim, a member of the Conehatta Community, stabbed a fellow member to death on the Choctaw Indian Reservation.

Jim was indicted in January 2017 by a federal grand jury on the charge of second degree murder.

Jim is to be sentenced on March 21, 2022 and faces a maximum of 15 years in prison.
