Mississippi blood supplies at crisis level

Mississippi Blood Services reports that its inventory of blood is at crisis level.

With offices in Flowood, Greenville and Oxford, Miss., MBS is the only FDA licensed blood center headquartered in Mississippi, and it services hospitals across the state. They ask that anyone who is able to donate please use its website to find a donation location and donate as soon as possible. Donors can also call 601-368-2673 to schedule a donation.

Every two seconds somebody needs blood, MBS says. Patients all across Mississippi depend on donations for lifesaving treatments.
