Mississippi extends tax filing deadline to July 15

The Mississippi Department of Revenue announced Tuesday that the deadline for filing state taxes has been extended to July 15, 2020.
In a statement released May 5, the agency said the extension was made in consultation with the governor, lieutenant governor and speaker of the house.
The extension applies to individual and corporate tax returns, franchise tax returns and fiduciary income tax returns as well as first and second quarter estimated payments.
Mississippi’s 2020 filing deadline now aligns with the federal extended deadline announced in March.
