Mississippi man threatens ‘mass murder’ at church

A Mississippi man is behind bars after making threats of ‘a mass murder’ at his church.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Department, the FBI alerted local authorities to a threat made on social media by an individual claiming to be planning a mass murder at his church the following Sunday.  Investigators determined that the threat was made by Ryan C. Evans, 20, of Saltillo, Mississippi.

Evans was arrested and charged with making terroristic threats.  At his initial court appearance, Judge Chuck Hopkins set Evans’ bail at $100,000.
