Hunters in Mississippi can look forward to a cost-friendly ‘hunting camp’ experience this season. From October 2023 to February 2024, select Mississippi State Parks will be offering discounted lodging rates to those active in the hunting community.

Special Rates:

  • Cabins (sleeps 4 or fewer) – Enjoy a 30% discount on the nightly rate.

Participating State Parks Include:

  • Clarkco State Park
  • George P. Cossar State Park
  • Hugh White State Park
  • J.P. Coleman State Park
  • John W. Kyle State Park
  • Lake Lincoln State Park
  • Lake Lowndes State Park
  • Legion State Park
  • Leroy Percy State Park
  • Roosevelt State Park
  • Tombigbee State Park
  • Trace State Park
  • Wall Doxey State Park

These parks are strategically located near Wildlife Management Areas and National Wildlife Refuges, making them an excellent choice for hunting enthusiasts.

To avail of the discount, hunters must present a valid Mississippi hunting license. If reservations are made online via www.mdwfp.com/parks or through 1-800-GO-PARKS, the discount will be refunded upon arrival after showing the required hunting license. This initiative aims to support and promote the rich hunting culture in Mississippi while ensuring a comfortable and affordable stay for hunters during the season.
