Published

The Mississippi Raiders will hold their final football tryouts Jan. 16.

The Raiders are part of the American Arena League and are based in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The team is seeking to add 10 to 15 players to its roster, and all players must be from the state of Mississippi.

Players who participate in the tryout must be at least 20 years old and finished with all of their college eligibility, due to the fact that players can’t return to college football after playing in the league. All AAL  players receive an income while playing for the Raiders.

Registration is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 16, at 8:30 a.m. at 4600 Hardy Street in Hattiesburg. The registration fee is $50.

The Raiders are also seeking athletic dancers and interns interested in public relations, marketing and community engagement.

The team is coached by James Germany who is also the team’s owner.
