Mississippi River claims mother and two children in Tunica County

Tunica County authorities are searching for a woman and two children who drowned in the Mississippi River after their vehicle left the road Sunday morning, Sept. 8.

Symphony Wilson, 29, and her children, Nilah, 5 and Tez, 2, were in a gray Chevrolet Suburban when it went into the river between the Fitz Casino and Tunica River Park, WREG reports.

The vehicle is located under about 30 feet of water roughly 100 yards from the bank. Arkansas State Police divers have been called in to get the victims and the vehicle out of the river.
