Mississippi State University head football coach Mike Leach secured an important class of 2021 commitment this weekend as Texan Theodore Knox decided to join the Bulldogs.
Knox made the announcement on his Twitter page Saturday.

MSU and the Bulldogs coaching staff recruited Knox heavily and did not stop until they secured his commitment.
“I’ve mostly been talking to Coach Steve Spurrier Jr. and their recruiting coaches,” Knox told 247 Sports. “But really, it’s been most of their coaches that text me every day. One day I had the whole staff text me and that meant a lot to me. It lets me know they want me, and it was great to hear from the whole coaching staff. It shows the love they have for me in a different way.
“They’re recruiting me as a slot receiver, and Coach Spurrier breaks down their offense when we talk. He shows me how they can get the ball in my hands a lot and how the offense operates around the receivers. He’s really been talking a lot about how well I fit there in their offense and how many balls their receivers will catch in a game.”
Knox is rated by 247 Sports as a four-star athlete, and he also has a outstanding reputation as a track runner. He has one more season at Woodlands High School in Texas before joining MSU the summer of 2021.
