Mississippi State wins National Title for the first time in school history
Mississippi State University pulled off a stunning 9-0 win over Vanderbilt on Wednesday to win the national title.
Luke Hancock hit a sacrifice fly ball to get the Bulldogs on the board in the first inning.
Despite the fact that MSU stayed on top of Vanderbilt the entire game, a few players finished with some major plays such as Logan Tanner and Kellum Clark who both hit home runs in seventh inning.
After Tanner’s home run, the Bulldogs were winning 9-0 by the eighth inning and on the verge of putting away the game.
The road the championship was tough for MSU as they loss the first game of the World Series but quickly defeated Vanderbilt on Tuesday and Wednesday to bring home the championship to the state of Mississippi.
