Missy Gators fell short in game 1 of the playoffs against New Hope

Vicksburg High School softball team came up short in a playoff game against New Hope with a score of 11-1.

By the top of the third inning, the Missy Gators were hanging close with New Hope and the score was tied at 1-1. But soon a big fourth inning would give New Hope the lead as they drove in four run scores.

Lexie Kistler pitched the game for VHS and Madelyn McAdam came in relief during the final inning.

Kellisia Walker, Trinity McGloster, Sha’Niya Lockridge, and Kistler all  had hits for VHS.

The Missy Gators still have a solid chance to take the series as they will host a double header on Tuesday starting at 4 p.m.
