Missy Gators grab two victories on the road on Saturday
The Vicksburg High School softball team got two road wins over Europa and Riverside on Saturday.
In game one, the Missy Gators blew out Riverside 16-0 as Lexi Kistler threw a no-hitter.
Kellisia Walker started strong with a big hit in the first inning, where Kistler ran in for the score. Lili Kistler helped push the lead to 3-0 when she hit a ground ball that led to Walker and Charli VanNorman.
The first inning ended with the Missy Gators leading 4-0 after Madison Spencer hit a ground ball that led to a score.
RBIs by Jordan Grace, Lexi Kistler, Walker, and VanNorman helped push the lead to 10-0 at the end of the second.
The third inning consisted of VHS continuing to punish Riverside as Spencer and McGloster got a double along with Alysha Murrell, who got a big hit.
Lexi Kistler and Grace got two hits on the day, while Spencer, Murrell, and McGloster got one hit. Lili Kistler led with two RBIs.
In game two, the Missy Gators captured a 3-1 win over Eupora as Lili Kistler struck out three batters.
Charli VanNorman got the first run score from a ground ball hit by Amari Johnson.
VHS maintained a 1-0 until the fifth inning when Avery VanNorman singled on a line drive, Midori Allen and Shandrea Lockridge got scores.
Lili Kistler and Charlie VanNorman had two hits, while Avery VanNorman, Harmony Harris, Lexi Kistler, and JaMia Grace had one hit. Avery VanNorman also had two RBIs.
The Missy Gators will play Pearl on Monday for senior night.
