Missy Gators’ season ended on Saturday against New Hope

After a long successful playoff run, the Vicksburg High School softball team’s season came to an end on Saturday in a 10-2 loss to New Hope.

NH quickly got on the board in the first inning from a error and a hit. Trinity McGloster helped the Missy Gators get their first run in the second inning with a hit that allowed Charli VanNorman to make it to the home plate.

The fourth and fifth inning would be the most profitable for New Hope as they collected a total of seven runs in the two innings.

McGloster would get another RBI in the sixth for VHS but NH would take the 10-2 win.

McGloster finished with two hits and two RBIs while Lexi Kistler, Kellisia Walker, VanNorman, Lili Kistler, and Harmony Harris each got a hit.

Despite the loss, VHS made it to the third round of the playoffs playoffs for the first time in the program’s history.
