Missy Gators wins second straight district championship

After a forfeit from Jim Hill on Thursday, Vicksburg High School softball team has been named as the Region 4-5A Champions for the second year in a row.

The Missy Gators took down Jim Hill 19-0 at home three weeks ago which were followed by multiple wins for VHS.

Having a rocky start at the beginning of the season, the Missy Gators are now back on track and hitting the ball better than they have all season.

VHS has remained consistent on the rubber as they mainly have used three pitchers all year.

By winning the Region 4-5A title under Head Coach Brian Ellis, the Missy Gators are guaranteed a first round bye week and will play the winner of Ridgeland and Columbus in the second round.
