Missy picked up another district win on Senior Night

Vicksburg High School girl’s soccer team ended senior night with a bang in a 6-0 district win over Greenville.
“I feel very good because last year we didn’t win against them in the first home game but I’m just glad that we knocked out all the negative tone because they were doing a lot of talking but we played in a positive way,” Amari Johnson said.
Trinity McGloster scored two goals and had two assists and Amari Johnson also pitched in two goals with three saves. Jamiyah Gaines and Leah O’Bryant both had one goal and one assist in the win. Ava Pritchard also had six saves.
Seniors for VHS are Faith Croskey, Jamiyah Gaines, Paige James, Rukiyah Miller, Kristiana Nevels.
The Missy Gators will host Cleveland Central on Friday.
“We feel great going into Cleveland Central even though they’re our biggest competitor but I feel pretty good about tomorrow and hopefully our girls go and get some rest and be ready for our third district win this week,” VHS Head Coach Samantha Bailey said.
