MLK Kuhn Civil Rights Memorial Park Committee opens nominations

MLK Kuhn Civil Rights Memorial Park Committee issued a statement on Tuesday, announcing open nominations for honorees:

Dear family and friends,

We hope that this message finds you well.

On behalf of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Kuhn Civil Rights Memorial Park Committee, we want to thank you for entrusting us with such an honorable undertaking. 

In December 2019, a committee was established to construct a recreational park, which will honor trailblazers that contributed to the Civil Rights movement in the local community. Within the first few months of planning, COVID-19 abrupted our plans. However, we persisted. 

We are proud to announce that Phase I of the park construction is near completion. At this time, we want to open nominations for the honorees. Please click on the following link to submit your nominations: https://forms.gle/h3ivQYDNtDNz4ktq6. Hard copies of the form are available upon request.

Nominations can be submitted for individuals, groups, organizations, churches, and schools. There is no limit to the number of submissions. Nominations will run through 11:59 p.m. on March 20, 2022.
