Three Vicksburg High School football players did some outstanding blocking in Friday’s game against Ridgeland High School.

Michael Montgomery, Cameron Stamps and Joshua Jones all paved the way for the Gators running game Friday which helped put 32 points on the scoreboard for Vicksburg.

Montgomery and Jones play on the offensive line and are considered two of the best lineman in Vicksburg due to their aggressiveness on the field.

Stamps plays tight end for the Gators where he mostly run blocks for the team in VHS’ running the ball in the Wing-T offense.

Montgomery, Jones and Stamps put in hard work on the line to help teammates Alex Jefferson, Laurence Sullivan, and Keveon Smith score touchdowns Friday in the 32-49 loss.

All three have improved each week and are heavily coached by VHS offensive lineman coach Andre Bennett. They are expected to have a big game Thursday when VHS plays Canton High School at Warren Central starting at 7 p.m.
