Morgan arrested for shots-fired incident early Sunday morning

Vicksburg police have arrested 30-year-old Jacob D. Morgan in connection with a shots-fired incident near Jacques’ Bar early Sunday.

Morgan was in the bar when he got into an altercation, reports WLBT. He then went his car to get a rifle and began firing shots into the air.

He is charged with weapon discharge, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and public intoxication.

Police ordered Jacques’ closed until owners meet with the mayor and chief of police.
