Morris Bevily to appear in court Monday
Claiborne County father Morris Bevily is scheduled to appear in court on Monday after Assistant District Attorney Patrick Beasley filed a motion to dismiss his case.
Bevily and his wife, T’Kia, were indicted for capital murder in the death of his 14-month-old daughter Jurayah Smith. Last month, T’Kia was found not guilty by a jury in Monroe County.
On Monday, Bevily will attend a status hearing in response to the motion for dismissal, which was filed on the grounds that the state does not have enough evidence to prosecute.
