Moss Point Native Arrested for Murder

On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at approximately 11 AM, the body of Spencer Watson, a 28-year-old resident of Pascagoula, was discovered in a wooded area off Baywood
Drive in Moss Point. His death is currently being investigated as a homicide, believed to
have occurred on Monday, October 21, 2024.

The investigation began after Watson’s family reported him missing to the Pascagoula
Police Department on Wednesday morning. Upon receiving the report, Pascagoula
investigators contacted Moss Point detectives, prompted by earlier reports of gunshots in the vicinity of Baywood Drive and River Pine Road on Monday. As detectives pursued leads from both cases, they uncovered critical information that led to the discovery.

In connection with this case, Johnny William Anderson, 22-years-old, of Moss Point, has
been arrested and charged with murder. He has been booked into the Jackson County
Adult Detention Center and is awaiting an initial appearance. Bond has not been set.

The Moss Point Police Department are actively investigating the circumstances
surrounding this tragic incident. Authorities urge anyone with additional information to
come forward.
