Motor vehicle crash leaves Vicksburg resident injured

In a late-night incident on Friday, May 12, a motor vehicle crash occurred behind the Gumbo Pot restaurant located at 3401 Halls Ferry Road, resulting in injuries to a young pedestrian. Vicksburg Police Department recently shared the details of the incident, shedding light on the events that unfolded.

According to the VPD, 11:20 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to a motor vehicle crash with injuries behind the Gumbo Pot restaurant at 3401 Halls Ferry Road. The crash involved a 2004 Ford pick-up truck and a 22-year-old Vicksburg resident named Jordan Hartley.

Witnesses reported that Hartley was struck by the truck’s passenger side as the driver put the vehicle in reverse while she was approaching. Following the incident, Hartley was taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center by ambulance for treatment.
