Vicksburg native Paul Wilson has now moved up to coaching on the varsity level at Vicksburg High School.

Wilson, who previously served as the defensive coordinator for Vicksburg Junior High School, was recently promoted to the high school and will be working under head coach Christopher Lacey.

Wilson is a 2016 VHS graduate who led the Gators to a playoff appearance in his senior year as he brought in 62 tackles at defensive back. He went on to play at Copiah-Lincoln Community College, University of Northern Colorado and the University of West Alabama.

Wilson will be coaching the defensive backs at VHS where he was once a dominating force in the secondary.
