MS Dept. of Public Safety Recognizes National ‘Our Roads, Our Safety’ Week

According to the Mississippi Dept. of Public Safety, this week is national ‘Our Roads, Our Safety’ week, a national campaign emphasizing the importance of road safety when sharing the highways with 18-wheelers and other large trucks.

The Commercial Transportation Enforcement Division and Motor Carrier Unit are actively participating in this week trying to create safer roadways for everyone.

These units are focused on promoting awareness and safety practices for both commercial drivers and the general public. With the increasing presence of large trucks on the roads, it’s crucial for all drivers to understand the best ways to navigate and share space safely.

This nationwide effort highlights valuable safety tips, ensuring that drivers can coexist on highways and interstates while minimizing risks. The goal this week is to make roads safer for everyone!
