MS state trooper released from hospital weeks after crash in Warren County

Mississippi State Trooper McKendrick Thomas has been released from the hospital following a horrific automobile crash Oct. 17 on U.S. Highway 61 South in Warren County.

Trooper Thomas was originally airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center and has been undergoing physical therapy at the Methodist Rehabilitation Center in Jackson.

He was released Wednesday but will continue physical therapy. There is no timetable for his return to duty.

Numerous state troopers along with several Byram police officers were on hand to escort Thomas home following his release from the hospital.
