MSDH reports 2,326 new COVID-19 cases, Warren County at high risk

The Mississippi State Department of Health reported 2,326 new cases and 3 new deaths Thursday, bringing the number of presumed positive coronavirus cases in the state to 329,130 as of July 19.

The rate of new cases is up an alarming 32%, coupled with only 33% of residents being fully vaccinated, leading to substantial transmission of the virus in recent days.

Warren County and Vicksburg specifically have been flagged as high transmission zones.

Nationally, cases are up 69% and deaths are up 26%.  The surge experts predicted due to the Delta variant has arrived, and it is vital that we take notice and take action to save lives.
