MSDH reports 25% of Warren County residents fully vaccinated against COVID-19

The Mississippi State Department of Health reports that new cases of COVID-19 in the state were down to just 37 Monday, with no new deaths reported.  There are 157 Mississippians currently hospitalized for COVID-19, with 58 of those patients in intensive care units.

Here in Warren County, we have had 4,310 cases of COVID-19 to date (as of April 18, 2021) with 119 total deaths attributed to the virus.  The most recently reported numbers show that there are just 7 active cases of the virus in Warren County and that there have been zero COVID-related deaths reported in four weeks.

MSDH also reports that 34% of Warren County residents have received the first dose of vaccine and 25% have been fully vaccinated.

All Mississippians ages 16 and up are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccination. Health officials urge all eligible individuals to take this powerful step to help eradicate the virus. MSDH also has information on local testing providers and free testing at HealthyMS.com/covid19test.
