Stewart Reese, a Mississippi State University offensive lineman, will join his former coach Dan Mullen at the University of Florida as he transfers from the Bulldogs.

Reese’s brother, David Reese, plays linebacker for the Florida Gators, and they will be teammates under Mullen’s leadership.

Stewart Reese entered the transfer portal Friday, which allowed other universities to recruit him.

Mullen was Reese’s football coach in 2017. Reese started all 13 games at right tackle that year, and he made a big impact on the Bulldogs offense. After Mullen left at the end of that season, Reese started all 13 games under Joe Moorhead in the 2018 season.

Reese was switched to right guard in 2019 and only started in eight games last season.

He will automatically be eligible to play in the 2020-2021 season due to the NCAA graduate transfer rule.
