MSU wide receiver arrested for DUI
Mississippi State University football player Malik Heath was arrested for driving under the influence this week according to multiple reports.
Heath was charged Wednesday with DUI, no driver’s license, improper equipment, no insurance and speeding more than 20 miles per hour over the limit. He was released on a $3,000 bond.
“We’re aware of the situation,” MSU head coach Mike Leach said in a statement. “We’re gathering more information from the proper authorities and don’t have further comment at this time.”
Heath spent the last two seasons starring at Copiah-Lincoln Community College where he managed to rack up 61 receptions for 835 yards and seven touchdowns over his two seasons.
