Murder suspect arrested

Early Tuesday, July 8, 2019, at around 12:26 a.m., Vicksburg police officers along with Warren County Sheriff’s Department arrested 18-year-old Wanzie Eugene Brown of 402 Locust Street.

Brown, who was wanted for murder in Marshall County, was arrested at Merit Health River Region medical center in Vicksburg.

The Vicksburg Police Department received information that Brown was visiting a patient at the hospital. Officers arrested him without incident.

Brown is being held in the Madison County jail pending his return to Marshall County.
