My Journey to Health – Week 5
]]>
Southern Tea Room. As the name would imply, there are all sorts of yummy goodness floating around there! Old recipes call for the good stuff. Real butter, lots of cream and just a little more cheese! It is such a hard temptation to stop at tasting. I’m doing good now, but tasting has always been a weakness of mine. How many times have you cooked a big meal for the family and realized you were too full to eat because you “tasted” everything too much? We all do it occasionally, but I do it habitually. I just have to keep it in mind. It has been a little tough to get into the swing of things also. I am used to going to meet with Stuart at 11 a.m. My new job is in full swing at that time. I am able to change work out times thanks to all parties involved for agreeing! But, it’s going to mean 2 weeks on my own. I know! That’s pretty scary Stuff right there. I know Stuart pushes me, but could I do the same thing for myself? I am pleased to say that for the 2 days I made it, I can push myself. Now, Stuart was still there; so, I had that motivation and guidance. We’ll have to see how I do in the next couple of weeks. Wish me luck. It’s amazing to meet new people that are going through the same things that you are. I have met some really great people at the gym. It’s nice to share stories and give and receive encouragement. If you are thinking about starting on your own fitness journey, reach out to those around you. Seek out people who are just starting out and those more advanced as well. The support will make all the difference in the world. It will make you feel bad to miss the gym on your own; but if you let someone else down, it’s even worse. Don’t hide in the corner, we are all right there sweating away just like you.]]]]> ]]>
