RiverGages.com, Natchez broke a flooding record today. The previous record was 58.04 feet on February 21, 1937. As of 1a.m. today, May 12, 2011, the river level was 58.69 feet. This flood continues to wreak havoc on us all. We will continue to bring you updated pictures. We encourage you to send in your pictures, videos and stories. Tell your story. Help document this historic flood. Email them to photos@vicksburgdailynews.com We want you to help each other. Reach out to your neighbors in this time of need. Chances are you only have to look in your back yard. There are growing concerns about electricity outages. Some people that are not directly flooded may experience outages. Once again, reach out to those who need a hand up in these trying times. Practice a little extra patients with those you meet. Nerves are always on the rise this time of year, when the mercury starts to climb. This situation is sure to heighten that. Be kind to each other.]]]]> ]]>
