VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — One of the most effective ways to understand the impact of Career Academies is to see them in action. The National Career Academy Coalition (NCAC) will host its Insight Onsite event at Warren Central High School in Vicksburg, Mississippi, on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Insight Onsite is an intensive one-day seminar designed to give participants an in-depth look at the Career Academy model—a nationally recognized approach that connects classroom learning with real-world experience. These invitation-only events are hosted at high schools that have earned NCAC’s Model Academy designation by meeting rigorous standards outlined in the National Standards of Practice.

During the event, participants will tour classrooms, meet educators and students, and witness firsthand how Warren Central High School’s Career Academies are transforming learning. Attendees will explore academy structures, student engagement strategies, and community partnerships that strengthen college and career readiness throughout the district. Leandrew Drake, Academy Business Liaison for Vicksburg Warren School District, emphasized the value of collaboration between schools and local industry partners. “Our partnerships allow students to see what’s possible in their future,” Drake said. “When business leaders, educators, and families work together, students gain the confidence and skills they need to thrive in college, career, and life.”

The Insight Onsite event highlights the ongoing commitment of the Vicksburg Warren School District to its Strategic Framework, focusing on ensuring every student is College, Career, and Life Prepared through a High Performing Team, strong Community and Family Partnerships, nd the belief that Every Day Matters.
