New public affairs chief announced by the USACE Vicksburg District

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Vicksburg District has announced Sabrina Dalton has taken on the position of chief of public affairs.

In this new position, Dalton will have the responsibility of communicating activities which involve the USACE Vicksburg District, to provide communication counsel to technical staff and district leadership. She will also facilitate community outreach efforts, manage media relations with local, regional, national and international representatives, and promote district projects by developing initiatives.

Dalton previously served as deputy chief of public affairs and currently holds the rank of captain in the Mississippi Air National Guard, serving as chief of public affairs for the 186th Air Refueling Wing, Key Field Air National Guard Base located in Meridian, Mississippi. She also served active duty with the U.S. Navy from 1992 – 1996 as an aviation maintenance administrator and system administrator.

Dalton is currently a member of the Public Relations Association of Mississippi (PRAM), serving as Vice President of Programs for Vicksburg’s PRAM River City Chapter.
