Teams have already begun contacting season ticket holders about the new rule that takes effect immediately.
The NFL also canceled all preseason games and will jump straight into the regular season.
Both announcement come in the wake of sharply rising COVID-19 cases across the country.
The NFL will also test players daily for the first two weeks of training camp. All players are expected to report to camp starting next week, and the teams are expected to follow the correct NFL protocols concerning COVID-19.
