Nick Anderson, former VHS standout, finishes sophomore season on a good note
Former Vicksburg High School standout Nick Anderson finished his sophomore season at Tulane University on a positive note as he led the Green Wave to a bowl game victory.
Anderson signed with Tulane in December 2018 after finishing his freshman season at Jones Community College. He played one season with the Jones Bobcats where he finished with 74 tackles and a Mississippi Bowl win over Eastern Arizona.
Once he officially began playing for Tulane in 2019, Anderson had to prove that he was the great athlete that they had signed. Through his nonstop hard work ethics, Anderson appeared in all of Tulane’s games last season and helped them to a 7-6 record. Anderson finished the 2019 season with 26 total tackles and one sack.
Anderson also helped Tulane to a 30-13 bowl game victory against the University of Southern Mississippi where he recorded a season high of five tackles.
Prior to playing college football, Anderson was a star linebacker at VHS where he was Defensive Player of the Year in his last two seasons before graduating in 2018.
