No additional roads closed in Warren County
Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace reported that as of noon today, there have been no additional road closures.
He stated that floodwaters are extremely close to the road on South Fisher Ferry Road, and stressed that the motoring public should use great care and caution when traveling in this area. He also said that water is close to U.S. Highway 80 on the Hinds County side of the Big Black River bridge.
County deputies and road crews are closely monitoring road conditions throughout the county. The Sheriff is also personally touring roads to ascertain if there are any significant problems that need to be addressed. He encouraged everyone to allow extra travel time and use care when traveling in areas they are unfamiliar with.
