No fans allowed at Saints first game

Due to COVID-19 concerns, there will be no fans allowed at the season opener for the New Orleans Saints when they play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sept. 13.
The team made the announcement Wednesday on Twitter.

The Saints made the decision after meeting with the mayor of New Orleans and the governor of Louisiana, and all agreed that it will be unsafe. The Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans can hold upwards of 76,000 fans for football.
The Saints have another home game scheduled for Sept. 27 against the Green Bay Packers but a decision on that game having a crowd has not been made, yet.
Saints and Buccaneers fans will have to watch the big game on television. Tampa Bay quarterback Tom Brady will be playing his first game with his new team.
