Below is a list of places we have been advised is hiring.

With many due to lose unemployment in June, and the decline of COVID-19, we at Vicksburg Daily News felt it would be in the community interest to help those who will be seeking jobs by providing a list of places we hear to be hiring.

This list consists of places that have emailed us directly, or posts we have stumbled upon seeking help by the owner/manager.

• Golding Barge Line – hiring deckhands.  Apply in person or online.
• Cocktails 101 is hiring for waitress, hostess, busser/food runner and cook.  Apply between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m., daily, at 1408 Washington Street.
• Vicksburg Forest Products – Laborers, operators and other positions available.
• Casino Vicksburg – Job Fair Friday May 21 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. & Tuesday May 25 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.  Seeking security officer, EVS attendant, dealers and slot attendant.
• Unified Brands Job Fair will be hosted Wednesday, may 19 between 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Positions include welders, machine operators, assemblers and more.
• Porter’s Chapel Academy is looking for substitute teachers for school year. Email a letter of interest to cwilliams@porterschapel.org.
• Culley’s BBQ interviews between 2-4 everyday.
