God granted him wings, and now his family must say goodbye. We brokenheartedly announce the transitioning of Mr. James Russell ‘Bro’ Dorsey who passed on Thursday, March 2, 2023.

He is the husband of Bertha Simmons-Dorsey; father of James Dorsey, Johnny Dorsey, Michael Dorsey, Levi Dorsey, Russell Dorsey, Sr., Carolyn Mays, Glenda Graise, Ida Mae Dorsey, Sharon Jones, Ruby Jean Dyer, Vanessa Payne, Ethel Dorsey, Bobbie Patton, Janie Dorsey, Peggy Dorsey Marshall and Geraldine ‘Cookie’ Dorsey; brother of Walter Dorsey, P.C. Hedrick, Lucy Dorsey, Sarah Johnson and the late Ella Mae Wilson, Rosetta Thomas, Katie Wilson, Ida Bridgeman, Louberta Johnson, Clarence Hedrick, Sr., Alex Dorsey, Jr. and Charlie Dorsey.
